

Harry was born in Terre Haute Indiana, the only son of Frank and Clara Crooks, who proceeded him in death. He grew up and graduated from high school in Michigan City Indiana. He graduated from Indiana University.
He was a man of compassion and faith, he was gifted with a beautiful tenor voice and sang in the church choir for many years, he was a World War II vet, a Systems Analyst for Goodyear Aerospace, and loved the game of golf which he enjoyed from his youth to his retirement in the community of Westbrook Village.
Harry was a loving husband of nearly 70 years to wife Lou Jean whom he cherished, brother to 4 sisters, devoted father to 6 children, and proud grandfather to 6 grandchildren. He graduated from Indiana University and began a career that eventually took he and his young family to Arizona in 1959. As the family grew they enjoyed the out of doors together including many wonderful vacations to the White Mountains of Arizona and to Park City Utah.
Harry’s life was guided by a sense of compassion for those in need, integrity, honest hard work, commitment to family and to nurturing lifelong friendships. He will live on in the hearts of his family and will be lovingly remembered as a gift to all who knew him.
Harry is survived by his wife Lou Jean, children Stephen, Susan(Greg), Scott(Beatriz), William, Samuel(Jennifer), grandchildren Andrew(Hanna), Eric(Lauren), Carmella, Alexandra, Emerson, Harrison and his sister Mary. He was proceeded in death by his sisters Kathleen, Margaret, Donna and infant son Samuel Thomas. He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to honor Harry’s life with a service of celebration in the months to come when it is safe for all to do so. Plans will be forthcoming.
