

Sun City resident Janet Lohmeyer passed on to be with her previously departed loved ones, and her savior Jesus Christ, in Heaven on Tuesday July 21st 2015. She was a wife, mother, supportive role model and mentor to anyone who needed help. She had lived in Hutchinson, Kansas raising her family before moving with her 2nd and surviving husband, William Lohmeyer, to Phoenix Arizona.
She was born on January 9th 1934 to Ruth and Ray Earlywine from Pratt Kansas where she was raised and graduated from Pratt High school in 1952. She is survived by a sister Georgia Ann Ptacek from Aurora CO. Janet has 3 adult children who survive her; Mike Goering from Scottsdale Arizona, Amy Jackson from Phoenix Arizona and Peter Goering from Socorro New Mexico. A grandson Jacob Goering survives and lives in Phoenix Arizona. A stepson Jim Lohmeyer lives in Hutchinson, Kansas. A nephew, Russ Ptacek, lives in Washington D.C.
Janet attended the University of Kansas briefly studying liberal arts before meeting, marrying then accompanying her 1st husband Victor Goering, who preceded her in death, to Passau W. Germany with her 1st born in 1954 where they lived on station, a U.S. Army Base, while he was serving before returning to Hutchinson, Kansas at his tour's end where they raised her 3 children. Janet married William Lohmeyer in 1978 following the death of her 1st husband Victor, and they shortly relocated to Arizona where she lived with him enjoying retirement until her passing.
During her active years she loved traveling and played golf enthusiastically. She was also accomplished at bridge enjoying games with her friends.
Services are being handled by Sunland Mortuary in Sun City, Arizona.
