John was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Oakland California to parents William and Gladys Wright. John's grand parents immigrated from Genoa, Italy, and brought with them the strong family values that John carried with him the rest of his life.
After high school John enlisted in the navy and served active duty in the Pacific during WWII. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
From there John took advantage of the GI Bill and completed a four year degree at Poly Technical Institute in California in electrical engineering. With these skills he moved to Southern California and quickly became part of the budding electronica and computer industries. He stayed in that field for the rest of his working career. John retired at the age of 75!
John is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Elizabeth, brother Billie, and son Steven and his wife Cathy, and their children and grand children.
John was the corner stone of his family as the one everyone turned to for help and was loved by many friends. He will truly be missed.
