

Joy Ann Hunter, aged 82, died peacefully on January 16, 2013 at Sunrise of Chandler, Chandler, Arizona. Joy was born April 23, 1930, in Indiana, the daughter of Earl Frederick and Mildred Carrie Morris.
Joy and Charles were married in 1973 and lived in Illinois for many years before relocating to Peoria, Arizona and more recently to Chandler, Arizona where Joy lived in the Sunrise Assisted Living facility.
Joy's greatest enjoyments in life were her forty year marriage to Charles and her family of eight children, seventeen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was an inspiration to each and every person who crossed her path. She taught her family to never give up and to always persevere. Their hearts will be forever impacted by her beautiful blue eyes, positive spirit, infectious humor, encouraging word and her unwavering strength.
Joy thoroughly enjoyed traveling, reading, movies, golfing, bingo and spending time with family and friends. Within the last few years at Sunrise, the relationships she formed with the staff and other residents were ones filled with rich love, laughter, and appreciation.
Joy is survived by her husband Charles, her sister Shirley (Gault) Jones, her sister Sandra (Robert) Pflum, her sister-in-law Ina Dow, sons Jeffrey (Ann) Hunter, Brian (Mary) Hunter, Robert (Vicky) Hunter and John Jeffries; daughters Kim Donahue, Karen (Ted) Thielens, Karen (Al) Zamin and Connie (Kurt) Jacobsen: grandchildren Jill (Sam) Curcio, Sean Donahue; James and Allison Thielens; Brian, Melissa, Matthew and Anastasia Zamin; Lindsey (Ben) Haering, Lauren and Luke Jacobsen: Andrew and Alec Hunter; Courtney and Natalie Hunter; and Caleb and Sage Jeffries; great-grandchildren Carley and Kyle Curcio; and Charlee and Olive Haering;
three nieces, four nephews and many other much loved relatives and close friends.
