Katherine Pylypiak

She was a devoted and caring wife and mother. She enjoyed gardening and making wine. Later in life her passion was listening to talk radio and politics. The twists and turns of life, love and war brought her to her final rest in Sun City, AZ.

Preceded in death by her husband, Roman, father, Fedir, mother, Maria and brother, Petro. She is survived by her two sons and their families - Gordon (Bohdan) Pylypiak (Irene) of Spencer,OH, Dennis Pylypiak (Andrea) of Macedonia, OH. Five grandchilden – Andrew Pylypiak (Deanna) of Sharon,OH, Steven Pylypiak (Sofia) of Lyndonville, NY, Mark Pylypiak (Sheila) of Granger, OH, Katie Detwiler (Ben) of Menlo Park,CA, and Alexa Pylypiak of Macedonia, OH. Eight great grandchildren – Luca, Anna, Micah, Celia, Hoyt, Grace, Riley and Shea. And a younger sister Sofia in Ukraine. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Viewing and remembrance will be held at Sunland Memorial Park & Mortuary, on Friday, June 3rd from 5 to 7 pm, with a Panahyda by Father Hugo Soutus at 6pm.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 9:00 am at the Dormition of the Mother of God Church in Phoenix AZ and interment will follow at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City AZ.
