Kent Norman Adams

He is preceded in is passing by his parents & his siblings Dale, Dean, Don, Jean, Bea, & Helen.

Kent married Karla Peterson in June of 1954 and together they raised four children, daughters Kayla, Kathy & Kelly (twins) as well as one son Kim, who all survive. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Kent had many nieces, nephews, and cousins who he stayed in touch with throughout his life. It is his hope that we the family survivors, carry the torch of constant communication and stay in touch.

Kent was a hard worker and made sure his family was taken care of no matter the cost. He graduated from Buena Vista College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1954. After a short stint in the Army, he became a radio personality at KAYL in Storm Lake Iowa, with the “Up and Adam” show, and from here he was an on air personality in several small towns in the Midwest. He eventually got a job in his field of Chemistry and became a salesman for Aloe Scientific and then eventually the Perkin Elmer Corp. As a result of this sales position, the family moved many times from Iowa, to Missouri, to Illinois, to Utah, to Washington state. Eventually Kent and Karla retired to Sun City AZ.

Kent had a big and charitable heart. In his remembrance, please do a good deed for someone and give to a local food bank.
