Lori Lynn Joy was born on January 24, 1963, in Fullerton, CA to Dewey and Glenda (Clouse) Pennington. She grew up in Southern California and is a graduate of Downey High School Class of 1981. Lori spent many years as a single mother raising her beautiful daughter Angela. After her marriage to Governor his career took them to Corpus Christi, Texas for a year before moving to Surprise, Arizona to establish a permanent home.
Lori loved being a mom, wife, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, stepmom, step grandmother, step great grandmother and a beautiful friend.
Lori is survived by her loving husband, Governor, daughter Angela Buehlman, Sisters Deborah (Carrol) Moseley, and Sherryl Pennington, and brother Jerry Pennington, stepchildren Dina (Bryan) Van Gundy and Brian (Shelby) Joy along with her many nieces and nephews, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren who call her "Grandma Lori".
Lori was preceded in death by her parents Dewey and Glenda Pennington and brother Larry Pennington.
