Lydia E. Desmond, 79, of Sun City, AZ, passed away March 26, 2014 in Peoria, AZ. She was born in Mainz, Germany and came to the United States in 1954. She met her husband in Germany while he was stationed there while serving in the US Navy.
They lived in Escanaba, Michigan and raised their family there. She worked as a sales consultant. They moved to sun City Arizona in 1983 to retire.
She is preceded in death by her son, Daniel Desmond.
Lydia is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Richard Desmond; children, Darleen Lemke and her husband, Steven, Diane Desmond, Deborah Desmond- Kuhlman and her husband Russell; sisters, Rosemary Lulay, Erica Bender; grandchildren, Daniel Lemke, Heidi Lemke and great grandchildren, Jaylen Vaughn and Madisyn Vaughn.
A memorial service will be held at 10am Friday, April 4, 2014 at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351.
