Malcolm "Shep" Shepherd

On January 7, 2023, Malcolm Holmes Shepherd ‘Shep’ of Sun City, Arizona passed away at the age of 95. Shep will be lovingly remembered by his wife Phyllis; son Ted Andrew Shepherd (Sarah Brown); daughter-in-law Tami Schneck, and grandsons: Ian Armstrong Shepherd and Andrew Fleming Shepherd. He is preceded in death by his son Donald Richard Shepherd.

Shep was born March 10, 1927 in Independence, Missouri to Fred and Mabel Shepherd shortly after their immigration to the United States from England. He grew up in Clarendon Hills, Illinois and as a young man joined the Army Air Corps, ultimately serving during WWII. Shep attended Grinnell College in Iowa and graduated in 1951. Just a few years later, in 1953, he married his college sweetheart, Phyllis Fleming.

Shep enjoyed many years as an accomplished entrepreneur and sales & marketing executive. He and Phyllis loved to travel within the U.S as well as many places around the globe. They retired to Idlewild (Sturgeon Bay) Wisconsin and to Sun City, Arizona in 1998. Shep was an avid outdoorsman and also enjoyed most sports, especially the NFL and the Green Bay Packers. Shep’s quick wit and tremendous sense-of-humor will be greatly missed.

A service and interment is being planned in July of 2023 in Idlewild (Sturgeon Bay) Wisconsin. Details will be communicated at a later date.
