Those who were blessed to know Mary during her 68 years on Earth know Mary truly embodied the fruit of the Spirit.
Mary was a loving and faithful wife to Doug for 42 years (would have been 43 on May 17th). Her love language was acts of service, and she loved being a wife and keeping a gorgeous home full of love, good food, and cleanliness. Mary and Doug enjoyed spending time together whether it was simply on the couch talking about everything in life, or traveling the world together. She was more than just a wife to Doug, she was his best friend, partner and lover. Together they faced many adventures and challenges in life, and always conquered them with grace and partnership.
Mary was also the best mother ever full of joy and endless patience to her daughter, Jenna, and her son, Mark. She was blessed to be able to stay home and provide a life full of love, support, laughter, and guidance for her children. This deep love, support, laughter, and guidance for her children continued to her last breathe.
Most recently, Mary became a grandma to James (8) and Juliana (5). She was more than a grandma to her grandchildren, she truly was their second mother. The bond she had with her grandchildren will be cherished forever.
Her kind smile will never be forgotten. Her gentle touch, whether it was a big hug or “the buggy game” with her grandchildren, will never be forgotten. Her joyful perspective, her words of wisdom, and never ending love will always be in our hearts forever. Just like you would say to us, “I always love you!”
