Mary Adele Mason

Mary A. Mason, 92, died peacefully in her home on July 23, 2015. She was born September 17, 1922, the daughter of the late Italian immigrant parents, Falco and Anna (Ferrara) Muscante in McKeesport, PA. She married Louis J. Mason in 1941 and had three children. The family moved to Phoenix in 1962. As a hairdresser for many years, Mary changed careers and went to work for the Arizona State Government where she retired in 1983. Mary was a member of St Elizabeth Seton’s Women’s Society and Loyal Order of Moose where she loved to go dancing. Mary is survived by her sister, Lucille Karaffa of Port Vue, PA; daughters, Karen Banville and Linda Kolb of Phoenix; son, Kent Mason, of Cottonwood, AZ; five grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by siblings, Dominic Muscante, Rose Lettieri, Anthony Muscante, and Elayne Mihalchik. Visitation will be held at Sunland Memorial Park and Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, on Monday, July 27, 2015 from 5-7pm with a Remembrance Service at 6:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at St Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 9728 W Palmeras Dr., Sun City.
