Although she never attended college, she was incredibly well-read and could converse with people of all ages on a wide range of subjects. She was also a soothing comforter and a wonderful listener for her many friends and family members.
Mimi was a great proponent of the Arts, and she and Bob spent 20 years as ushers for The Phoenix Symphony, Opera, and The Herberger Theater.
Mimi and Bob always held hands, and her extrovert to his introvert made a perfect blend throughout their years together.
Miriam is survived by her loving daughters and sons Deborah L. Sherman, Jan-Michael Sherman, Sharon (Burdette) Simon, Wayne Burdette and her cherished granddaughter Claire Mayew Sherman.
Miriam was predeceased by her former husband Barry Sherman, her granddaughter Justine (Simon) Grueb, son-in-law John Simon and her brother Norton Savage.
