Paul Robert Markey, 90, of Sun City Arizona, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2012. Known to his family as Pops, Paul was a WWII veteran who fought in France with the 75th Infantry Division Anti-Tank Company. He graduated from Eaton (Ohio) High in 1940 and from Ohio State University in 1947. His work career included a stint as a newscaster for WING in Dayton Ohio, spokesperson for the Arizona Department of Transportation, and a technical and advertising writer for several major corporations. Paul was preceded in death by his mother and father, Grace and Paul, wife Cathleen, son John Eric, sister Jean, and brother John. He is survived by five children, Paula, Maria, Robert, Thomas, James, seven grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Saturday January 5th, 2013.
