Robert H Jensen

Jensen, Robert H. 88 of Sun City, AZ passed away April 9, 2012. Bob was born to Emma and Hans Jensen in Waseca, MN on January 11, 1924. At the age of 17 Bob joined the Navy and served 6 years. Bob was serving on the USS Maryland on Dec. 7, 1941, at the time of the Pearl Harbor attack. Bob met Naomi Berlin in 1947. They were married on Feb. 29, 1948. Bob and Naomi had 4 children Carol Sagun, Dr. David (Terrie) Jensen, Sherry (Marvin) Moore, Keith (Lela) Jensen, 12 grandchildren, 1 step-granddaughter and 5 great grandchildren. Bob was proceeded in death by his parents and two brothers. Bob and Naomi owned and operated a dry cleaning business gor 25 years in Grinnel, Iowa. Bob was very active in his community. He was a Shriner, Mason, past President of the Iowa Chapter of the Pearl Harbor Survivor’s Association, member of the Fairway Woodworking Club, and the RV Club. Bob will be remembered for his sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh. A 2 PM Memorial Service will be held to celebrate his life on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Congregational Church of Sun City located at 18401 N 99th Ave., Sun City, AZ 85373.
