Sanford “Sandy” Goldstein passed away on October 28, 2010. Sandy was born in Kane Pennsylvania and lived in Rochester, NY. He started as a school psychologist with BOCES in Monroe County, NY and then worked for the Penfield Central School District retiring as the Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Services. Sandy held Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology and a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Rochester. After moving to Arizona he was active in the Sun City West Community - serving on PORA, the Maricopa County Planning & Zoning Commission, the Sun City West Foundation, the Peoria Educational Enrichment Foundation, the Sun City Historical Society, the West Valley Art Museum, the Sundome Performing Arts Association, the College of Extended Education at Arizona State University and several Sun Health committees. Sandy is survived by his wife Muriel of Sun City West, his two sons Stephen of Minneapolis, MN and Jeffrey of Round Rock, TX, his daughter-in-law Leigh and granddaughter Sarah of Round Rock TX, and his grandson Peter of Minneapolis, MN. Memorial Services will be conducted 9:30 A.M., Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ.
