

Victor Anton Werlinger, 85, entered eternal life on January 19, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2015, at St. Clement Catholic Church, 15800 N. Del Webb Blvd. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. prior to Mass. Burial with military honors will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 24 at Sunland Memorial Park.
Victor was born on September 3, 1929 in Napoleon, North Dakota, the eldest of 13 children of Anton and Rose (Mitzel) Werlinger. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953 and was honorably discharged in 1959 from the Army Corps Reserve. Victor married Bonnie (Ganten) on May 26, 1956.
He was owner of three A & W Drive-in Restaurants until the early 1980s. Victor worked at Lincoln Mutual Life/Pioneer Mutual and was executive vice president at Blue Cross and Blue Shield, until retirement. He was a member and past president of the Sertoma Club. Victor also was a longtime member of the Moorhead Country Club where he spent any free time doing what he loved—playing golf!
Victor will be missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Bonnie (Ganten); four children, Mark (Pam) Soderling, Dennis (Mary) Ryan, Cheri (Gary) Wheeler, and Lurae (Dr. Justin) Hill; ten grandchildren, Lee Werlinger, Brandon Werlinger, Nicole Barkus, Kelsey Werlinger, Taylor Bredahl, Nicholas Werlinger, Zachary Werlinger, Michaela Werlinger, Jackson Hill, and Lexi Hill; two great grandchildren, Logan and Hailey Werlinger; seven siblings, Colette Werlinger, Marce (Joel Roth, deceased) Werlinger; Bernie (Jerry Bakke) Werlinger, Bill (Margaret) Werlinger, Leo (Connie) Werlinger, Bob Werlinger, and Larry Werlinger.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings, Joseph Werlinger, Dennis Werlinger, Ray Werlinger, Tony Werlinger, and Phyllis Werlinger and many relatives.
