Ward "Pete" Fredric Adams

He is survived by his beloved, Connie, of 17 years; two brothers, Craig and Doug Adams; daughters, Natalie Adams and Nicole Smith (husband, Sean Smith); and 2 grandchildren: Cory and Haley Smith. He is preceded by his father, Wesley; mother, Norma; and brother, Don.

Born in Seattle, Washington, Pete joined the U.S. Air Force in 1965 where he became a sergeant and also a writer and editor for the Stars & Stripes newsletter. After his service, he worked several years in marketing for L.L. Bean and later followed in the footsteps of earlier familial generations, volunteering for the Mountain Lakes Volunteer Fire Department in New Jersey. After moving to Arizona, he continued his passion for volunteering and helping others by joining the Glendale Fire Department Crisis Response team where he dedicated 10 years of service to the community. Additionally, Pete started a real estate company and continued working well into his 70s!

Pete will be remembered most for his adoration for The Ohio State football team and commitment to watching Sunday football; his lifelong passion for the fire service; dedication to his work; and devotion to his friends and family.

Service with military honors: Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 11am-12pm at Sunland Mortuary 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd Sun City, AZ 85351 with reception to follow.
