William ‘Bill’ D. Tracy, 93 of Sun City, Arizona, passed away on August 28, 2015. Bill was born the son of Glenn and Nina (Chamberlain) Tracy on January 11, 1922, in Des Moines, Iowa. He married Mavis E. Wood in May 1942, the same year he enlisted in the Navy. Bill served in the pacific during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1945. He worked for Ford Motor Company in management and retired in 1977. In 1984 Bill and Mavis moved to Sun City where he was a member of the Sun City Dance Club and the American Legion. Bill enjoyed traveling, golf, woodworking and in his younger years, camping.
Bill loved being a father and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Gary D. Tracy (Carol), Iowa and Rick G. Tracy (Elaine), Missouri, grandchildren, Mike Tracy, MI, Jennifer Siefken (Craig), MN, Erika Kramer (Mark), IA, and Jessica Zittergruen, IA, ten great grandchildren as well as many loyal friends including special friend and companion Margaret Ann. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mavis who passed away in 1995.
