Barbara Ansell, 74, of Cave Creek, Arizona was welcomed into Heaven on December 9, 2022, surrounded by family. Barb was born to parents Michael and Sophie Zyla on November 4, 1948, in Ternberg, Austria, and migrated to Rochester, New York in 1951. She later moved to Arizona in 1972 where she spent the remainder of her life.
Barb had a decades-long career at Choice Hotels International as a software programmer. Since retiring, she enjoyed catching up on the numerous novels she had waiting to be read.
Barb is survived by her sons Colter and Jesse Ansell, niece Erika (Steve) Voeller, nephew Michael (Connie) DeGrave, and many grandchildren, great-nieces, nephews, and friends. Barb is predeceased by her husband Chester S. Rosenberg, parents Michael and Sophie Zyla, sister Irene (Jeff) DeGrave, and brother Stephen Zyla.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to ASPCA.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. An announcement will be made once details are finalized.
