Catherine Louise Kostecki, entered into rest on July 25th, 2022 at the age of 64. Catherine was born in 1957 in Pawtucket, RI to Raymond and Madeleine Favreau. She leaves behind her family Tom and Catherine Favreau, Raymond and Debbie Favreau, Michelle and Rich Loyzim, Patrice Favreau , Adam Favreau, Matthew Foley, David and Jessica Emmons, Marc and Kim Emmons and special grandnieces, Sloan and Sevilla Emmons. Catherine was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others, and she incorporated that into her marriage and profession as a registered nurse. She met her extraordinary husband, Peter Kostecki, through a mutual friend and they both realized they had found their “person” and knew they both shared a love for family and decided to start their love story. This love story led to 38 years of warm memories to forever hold on to. As a wife she was generous, loving and kind and as a registered nurse she was patient and thoughtful. Her beautiful lifelong friend, Sue Jacobson, walked with Catherine through all her stages of life that will never be diminished by time or distance. As a result of their close friendship, Sue gave Cathy the honor of becoming Sarah Jacobson‘s godmother. She treasured Sarah’s love and joy as if she were her very own. In her free time, Catherine enjoyed going to Las Vegas and to the casinos. When holidays came around, Catherine would cook delicious meals for her family to celebrate and feel the holiday spirit. Catherine was an over achiever who graduated from South Windsor Schools, Southern CT University and Springfield Technical Community College. Catherine worked for many distinguished hospitals like Johnson Memorial Hospital, St. Francis GI Endoscopy, St. Francis Hospital and Core Institute Specialty Hospital. She was a registered nurse who went above and beyond for her patients. Catherine will be greatly missed by those who adored her with all of their hearts.
On behalf of Catherine’s husband Peter Kostecki, a special thanks to Dr. Breard from Banner Boswell Hospital and the thoracic surgery team as well as to all the 3rd floor nurses for all the compassion and care they all gave to his beloved wife Catherine. Your kindness showed and what an extraordinary human being you all are.
