My dear Uncle Charlie was a great,kind and fun uncle. He had a smile that was so bright and had one contagious laugh.  Some of my best memories were the times that I would spend time with them in the summer. He would always treat me like his own. He was like a big kid himself. He would get right out there and throw a ball, hula hoop or my favorite thing was to watch him on the Pogo stick, which was hilarious! He was a fun person and you could tell that he enjoyed life. My husband thought alot of him. I'm so glad my daughter had the chance to meet him on a few occasions. She thought he was funny and cool. Heaven has gained a precious man.  I will miss him so much and I love him dearly. Sending my love and deepest sympathy for my dear Aunt Jackie and  his daughters and his grandchildren .

My fondest memory of Charlie is his smile! He always smiled...and not just a friendly smile but the smile of a man who was filled with pure joy! The joy of being loved, the joy of his beautiful family, the joy of a Christ filled spirit, and the joy of life! I always felt that same joy just being around him, and he's gifted that joy to all who loved him, especially, my dear friend, Charlie's daughter, Lisa.  Thank you, Charlie, for all the smiles, joy, and love you shared during your beautiful life! That we should all be remembered one day, as you will be...with overwhelming love!

My greatest memories of my Uncle Charlie will have to be him teaching me how to play chess and become a master at playing ping pong. However there is one thing that sticks out like no other and that's when he brought over this contraption called the mongoose box. Before he actually opened the box he would tell you a story about the wild man eating mongoose. He was sooooo straight faced when telling the story you would actually believe every word that came out of his mouth. Well after telling my mom the story she was so uncomfortable about actually seeing it but sorta wanted to see it. My Uncle Charlie asked my mom if she was ready to see the mongoose and my mom said yes. Uncle Charlie had her get really close to the box and when she was close enough he opened the top of the back half and this thing flew out of the box and landed on my mom. I never even knew my mom could run that fast. Lol. What happened is this, inside the box under the lid was a spring loaded mechanism that would throw something at you, like a colored sox or something like that. Wow that day made my day. Uncle Charlie I love you and you will be forever in my heart and memories. Thank you for the great times and being a great Uncle. You will be forever loved and missed. 

He was a wonderful brother! He loved life, his family and most of all, his Lord.  I remember him and dad would enjoy playing checkers together and he also loved to play chess with my husband, Russ. My brother was very kind, caring and giving from his heart. He was known by Charlie, Buddy or Wayne but he will always be known as MY BROTHER, and even though the many miles separated us in distance only, he will forever be in my heart and memories.  We WILL be reunited one day NEVER to be separated again!! I love you Wayne!!  

We are so sorry for the loss of Charles. He was such a wonderful friend.  Such an inspiration and a man of character. We send our condolences and love to all of you. We take comfort knowing he's in the arms of Jesus. We ask God to comfort you during this difficult time.
