Dorothy Elizabeth Finley

Dorothy “Betty” Elizabeth Schneiderman-Finley of Surprise passed away peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2025.Betty moved from New York to Arizona in 1975 and was a long-time resident of both Surprise and Mesa.

Betty was predeceased by her devoted spouses, Eugene “Gene” Finley of nearly 12 years and Ramon Schneiderman, her husband of over 50 years. Betty is survived by her sons, Richard (Sharon) Schneiderman and Aaron Schneiderman, grandchildren Nicholas, Richard, Kaitlyn and Megan. As well as her extended family of friends and relatives who enriched her life with love.

Betty was primarily a proud homemaker but fondly remembered her time working on Wall Street for International Nickel prior to starting her family. In later years, she worked as a representative for Avon Cosmetics and although not of the Jewish faith, was a long-time member and chapter president of the Jewish women’s organization, B'nai B’rith.

A Celebration of Life: A memorial service to honor Betty's life will be held at Surprise Funeral Care 16063 W Bell Rd, Surprise, AZ 85374 on April 12th at 3:00 PM.

Personal Note: Betty will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
