

passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 in his home after battling cancer for 2 years. Harry was born on September 3, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended the University of Missouri receiving his Bachelor of Science in Business. He worked his way through college being active in the ROTC. Also, while at MU he met his college sweetheart. After serving in the military for two years he moved to Kansas City with his new bride, Nancy. He worked as a controller for an insurance company. His passion and dream was to have his own accounting firm, so he moved his family to Springfield, Missouri in 1966 and eventually founded Kirkpatrick, Phillips & Miller CPA's. There he practiced until he retired and moved to Arizona. Harry was a strong leader with a servant heart. He was actively involved in many organizations including being the President of Rotary, President of Twin Oaks Country Club, and actively involved at Messiah Lutheran Church. Harry was also extremely involved with the Springfield Airport Board, Greene County Estate Planning Council and served on the Board of Directors for the Missouri Society of CPA's. Recently in Surprise, he was actively involved with Spirit of Grace Lutheran Church. Harry was an avid golfer, sports enthusiast and a big MU Tiger fan. Harry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy Lee (Rush) Kirkpatrick. He is also survived by his two brothers Jack David Kirkpatrick of Las Vegas, Nevada and James Allen Kirkpatrick of St. Louis, Missouri; his son Christopher William Kirkpatrick and his wife Dawn Mattox Kirkpatrick and their daughters Brianna and Karis of Scottsdale, Arizona; his daughter Cynthia Kirkpatrick Hardie and husband Dr. Rich Hardie, Jr. and their sons William and Andrew of San Diego, California. A "Celebration of Life" will be held on November 8 at 11am at Spirit of Grace Lutheran Church in Surprise, Arizona. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and papa, a generous spirit with a servant's heart and a strong leader. He will be dearly missed.
