It is with great sadness that our family reports the passing of Janice Marie (Gesinger) Baldridge. Jan passed away on April 24, 2022. She was born to Ted and Irene (Schwartz) Gesinger, on August 25, 1948, in Aberdeen, SD. Jan spent all of her growing up years in Aberdeen, graduated from Aberdeen Central HS in 1966 and Xray Technology school in 1968. She married Mike Baldridge, her high school sweetheart, on January 17, 1969, in Pensacola, FL. Mike went to Viet Nam and Jan returned to Aberdeen to work at St. Lukes Hospital.
When Mike returned, they moved to Ft Collins, CO, where Jan worked as an X-Ray Technologist. Our two sons were born there: Chad on March 2, 1971, and Todd on December 5, 1972. From there Jan and Mike moved various places, for career opportunities. Jan was fortunate to work in the X-Ray field with many great people, who became good, life-long friends, throughout her career. In 2003, after Mike’s retirement, they moved to Surprise, AZ, where Jan has resided until her death.
Jan had an endearing personality, a great smile, and made everyone feel comfortable around her. She loved playing mahjongg, bocce, going to the pool, and playing cards with friends. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandkids. Jan was an incredibly special person in our lives. We will all miss her dearly.
Jan is survived by her husband, Mike, sons Chad and Todd, grandkids, Zachary, Raegan, Cooper, Kennedy and Maddy, and her great-granddaughter, Ezree. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved brother, Terry, and Niece, Renee.
A Celebration of Life, for Jan, was held June 14th (Flag Day) at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, at 10 AM. Pastor Bob Williams will be officiating. A catered reception will be held at the Agua Fria Room, in the Cimarron Center, Sun City Grand, beginning at 1 PM.
