Words cannot express the light Jason brought into everyone's lives. He was as respectful, humble and intelligent as a man could be. I unfortunately can't make it to the service tomorrow, but I'm glad we spoke today. I know Jason is at peace now and is smiling down at us with those perfect teeth! I attached my favorite picture of him. Every time he called me, I reminded him of this picture and told him he looked like Ice Man from Top Gun. He would tell me the plaque for the alternates is down in the ladies room. :)

There's a thesaurus next to me with your name on it. You always spoke with such eloquence, and I'm supposed to be the lawyer! I may have been your cheerleader in high school, but you cheered for me through law school. Your Facebook messages were more like Facebook novels. I flipped through one of our yearbooks last night and found a quote you left about Valentine's Day. You said you brought a dozen roses to give out to the ladies at Mountain Ridge! Typical Jason Hunter.  During one of the basketball games, the team threw out little white & green MRHS balls that were each signed by a different player. My mom caught one and gave it to me, and another cheerleader caught the one you signed. I traded her so I could have yours! (My apologies to whoever I originally had.) It wasn't until much later in life that we really got to know each other, and when I started to use the Google thesaurus to translate some of your messages. When you wrote to me last month, you said life isn't so trivial a thing as to be explained by godly intention. I keep reading that over and over now that you're gone. 

Anyway, there's my novel for you. I wonder if they have Facebook up there...Give your uncle a big hug for me, and see if you can track down Ghandi. I would love to pick his brain! Until we meet again, rest in peace my friend. You are always in my heart.
