

Joseph L. Bove Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Surprise, Arizona, on January 28, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on April 16, 1947, in Brooklyn, New York, Joseph lived a life filled with adventure, joy, and deep love for his family. He found excitement and connection through games of skill and chance, enjoying card games like Texas Hold’em, Hand and Foot, Gin Rummy, Blackjack, and May I?.
Joseph was also an active and dedicated member of Radiant Church, where he found spiritual community and gave of his time and heart. His faith played a central role in his life, and he cherished the relationships and experiences he built within his church family.
A proud Brooklyn native, Joseph's life was marked by a sense of humor and an unwavering loyalty to his loved ones. He found great joy in spending time with his family, whether it was sharing a friendly card game, taking a road trip, or having a heartfelt conversation. His love for life was infectious, and he had a way of making every moment feel special.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Anna M. Bove (Concilio), his children, Patricia Paduano (and her husband, Anthony Paduano) and Joseph L. Bove Jr. (and his wife, Michelle), and his grandchildren: Nicholas, Samantha, and Sabrina. He is also survived by his siblings: his brother Richard and his sisters JoAnn and Linda. He is preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Louise Bove, and his brothers, Anthony, Louis, and Angelo.
A memorial service for Joseph will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Surprise Funeral Care, 16063 W. Bell Rd, Surprise, AZ 85374.
Joseph’s spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, laughter, faith, and the many games he shared with those he loved will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who carry his memory forward.
