Such a wonderful person and example for my family - especially my son.  Kevin and his family were there to support us whenever we needed them.  So grateful for the knowledge we have of eternal life!  Love and prayers to Karen and the family!!

My heart is broken, may you rest in eternal peace. I will never forget how eager you were to tell me how to get rid of  my pigeons, and for the most part it worked :) I pray that your family finds comfort during this difficult time and how you touched so many lives, I know that mine has been made better by having you in it. Kevin, man you’ve shocked all of us with this one brother. Your presence was greatly appreciated and we all know you’re protecting us as we speak.  From the moment Jule introduced us, you were a mentor, friend, brother and father figure! All Jule spoke to me about were how you and Jerry taught him a way of life.  Thank you for responding to my aggravating text  messages also Sir, lol *Brandon Durant!

SN: Jule called me crying right after your lovely wife called him. Man we’re going to miss you Kevin. 

I served with Kevin (Elder Quast) in Taiwan during our missions.  We were never companions, but we spoke frequently and I did follow him into one area, NeiHu.  This was my second time in NeiHu and Elder Quast and contacted an awesome family, Brother Rau.  My companions and I were able to teach the family and baptize brother Rau, but it started with Elder Quast.  He was kind, hard working, and dedicated to the Lord.  I am sorry for his sudden departure.  All my love and condolences to his family.  He is a great man.

I will miss you my friend.  You have been kind to me my whole life, even when others picked on me in school.  Patient and kind to all around you.  You have been an example of how to be a friend, a husband, a father and a church and community leader and shown yourself to be a true disciple of Christ.

I remember fondly our camping trip to Yellowstone with our new brides and the torrential rain.  I remember the kindness you shared when I visited Arizona.  I remember the evenings and afternoons playing basketball at your house on the dirt court, jumping on the trampoline and countless other shenanigans as youth.  I remember countless scout campouts, basketball, volleyball and softball games growing up.  When others made fun of me for my clothes or shoes, you made it clear that you didnt care that we didnt have the best.  You just opened your heart and loved.

Yes - I will miss you my friend and hope that I can live my life better and someday see each other again on the “courts on high”.

As I sit here in tears, I say farewell to my longest known friend on this earth.
