Marilyn was married to Irving Young in 1955, and not long after they settled in Omaha, NE, where they happily lived and raised their family for over 50 years. They have two children; John Young, in Plattsmouth NE; and Susan Young in Council Bluffs IA; four grandchildren, Courtney her husband Sebastian Baxter and Bailey living in Plattsmouth, NE; Allison and James in Council Bluffs, IA, and one great-granddaughter, Eliora Baxter. Marilyn is also survived by her brother Bernard Juliar, married to Carol, living in Surprise, AZ; and a sister Doris Juliar, living in Hutchinson, MN. While her husband Irv passed away in 2008, Marilyn was lucky enough to meet and find love again with Jim Raymond. She moved with him to Surprise, AZ, where she has been living the last four years of her life.
Marilyn was a Tupperware manager for many years and her memory brings smiles to many when they think about her Tupperware empire. She is also often thought of as an incredibly gracious hostess. She welcomed everyone into her home and instantly made them feel like family. She effortlessly cooked for her family, or for large parties and she did it all with a smile. Her love was felt by all who spent time at her dining room table or in her kitchen. No one would ever leave Marilyn’s home hungry. Marilyn found joy in so many things; from the lemon tree in her front yard in Arizona, to the rolling hills of her home in Iowa; from the complete and total love her grandchildren gave her, to the pride she felt in her children; from playing games, to cooking for guests, her smile was unwavering.
Marilyn was a devoted wife and partner, loving mother, generous grandmother, fabulous friend, bingo queen, avid bridge player, and gracious hostess. She leaves behind family and friends who love her and will miss her greatly.
