

Born on May 14, 1933, in Havana, Cuba, Oscar carried a deep pride in his heritage throughout his life.
Oscar worked for Procter and Gamble and was a flight attendant for the Cuban Airlines. He also worked for the Filene's Company in the fine jewelry department, traveling to buy stones and diamonds for the company.
Oscar was the son of Alejandrina Bermudez Rodriguez and Oscar Fortun Leyva. After his mother died when Oscar was an infant, he was raised by his maternal grandmother, Manuela. His paternal grandparents were Agapito and Irene, and his maternal grandparents were Santos and Manuela. Oscar was divorced.
Oscar is survived by his stepchildren, Nicole Englehardt (Donald Englehardt) and stepson, Kenny Cantrell; step grandchildren, Jason Englehardt (Megan Edwards), and Jessica Carter (Josh Carter); and step great-grandchildren, Lana Englehardt, Jack Englehardt, Aubrey Englehardt, and Roman Carter, as well as his wonderful neighbors.
Oscar loved collecting south-western fine art, and especially travelling and learning the history of each place he visited. He was always proud of his heritage, travels, and collections, and he remained positive in how he viewed life.
