Peggie LaVerne Poe

Peggie was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 23, 1939; the daughter of the late Daniel and Mamie Pruett. She is a graduate of Galien High School in Galien, Michigan. She worked many years in the retail industry, as a grocery clerk, grocery accountant; and as manager of a House of Fabrics in Lompoc, California. Peggie was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed spending time with her family and nothing gave her more pleasure in life than the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She excelled at quilting, knitting, cross-stitching, and was a professional seamstress. She loved reading with the Bible being her favorite reading hour of the day.

Peggie is survived by her devoted loving husband James Poe of Sun City West, Arizona; and her sister Martha Pruett of Lompoc, California. Left behind to cherish her memory are also her children Kendria Murphy and her husband Walter Lee Murphy of Sun City, Arizona; Bryan Poe and his wife Connie of Oak Park, California; and Kevan Poe and his wife Fardoussa of Santa Maria, California. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Cale Murphy (wife Lauren), Travis Murphy (wife Amber), Kendria Miquel (husband Justin), Emily Flores (husband Jose), Lillian Smart (husband Frederick), Eli Murphy (wife Mallory), Alexander Poe and Nima Poe. Her legacy will also be passed down to 12 great-grandchildren. Peggie was preceded in death by her sister Frances Lorraine Pruett.
