

Phillip was born, June 24, 1960 at Orlando Air Force Base to Frank and LaWanna Horvath. He graduated from Brunswick High School and joined the US Navy in 1980 achieving a rank of E8 - Senior Chief Petty Officer. He served with his shipmates on the USS Hercules and USS Ingersoll and proudly served our nation through the Persian Gulf War (Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm). Phillip left the Navy in 1993 and went on to spend the next 30 years working in the technology industry. He was Senior Vice President, Client Relations & Service Strategy at 1st Mile LLC upon his death.
Phillip was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. As a teenager, Phillip enjoyed motocross racing and was very competitive in the field. He was an avid Florida State Seminole fan and wore their colors proudly on every game day. Phillip was also very passionate about golf. He played socially and competitively at so many of the beautiful courses across our nation. On Sunday’s, no matter the weather, you would find Phillip on his porch with a nice cigar, Bloody Mary and his newspaper. He was a creature of habit.
Survivors include his wife Cheryl Horvath; son Justin Horvath and wife Jaclyn; daughter Jena Ryan Horvath and Robie Bundalian; precious grandsons, Kye, Ryker and Kaden; mother, LaWanna Horvath; sister, Kimberley Traylor and husband Michael; brothers Glenn Horvath and Joseph Horvath and wife, Tina, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends that he considered “family”.
He was preceded in death by his father, (Frank) Francis X. Horvath, and his sister, Sheryl Anne Horvath; grandparents, Frank and Helen Horvath and Theodore Moore and Rutha Mae Moore Case.
Memorialization will be by cremation with services to honor Phillip’s life in Woodinville, WA on December 4th, 2022 at Bear Creek Country Club. An additional service with military honors will be held in Tallahassee, FL in January 2023. Details to follow.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family is requesting contributions be made to K9’s for Warriors which is a foundation dedicated to rescuing dogs from high-kill shelters and creating service dogs to help our veterans in need.
