Rachel E Dawson

Rachel E. Dawson daughter of the late Marilyn Gibson was born January 21, 1959, in Los Angelas, California. She attended the public schools of Los Angeles County, and was a graduate of Ottawa University in Phoenix Arizona in Human Services and a Master’s of Public Health at Grand Canyon University. At an early age, Rachel professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Tamirand Seventh Day Adventist, Compton CA. where she was a dedicated member.

She was united in holy matrimony to Dexter Wayne Dawson on September 17, 2001.This union was blessed with two children.

Rachel Dawson was an active member of the Down’s Syndrome Foundation where she advocated for her daughter and other children. She had a passion for children in need and volunteered with AGAPE for kids without parents. She was a strong advocate for patients with mental health. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the loving friends and family that surrounded her. Rachel’s influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She quietly departed this life Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Alta Vista Memory Care in Sun City. Arizona. She leaves behind her husband, Dexter Dawson, daughters, Temperae Dawson, Dimaryarae Dawson, Nicole Deng, Daniella Arrington (Charles Arrington), son John Skeete., nine grandchildren, sister -in–law, Pamela Strong and a host of relatives and friends.
