

Ronald Gale Schumann, 80, of Surprise, Arizona passed away peacefully with his family at his side on May 19, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and kidney disease. Ronald showed true heroism and stayed strong until the time he was called home to the Lord.
Ronald was a loving husband and soulmate of 55 years to Mary Beth (Broda). He was a devoted father to his children, Catherine St Clair and husband Stephen, Fredrick Schumann and wife Jessica and Megan Jones (niece). He was grandfather to Kaitlyn and Jonathan Schumann, Luke St Clair and wife Amy, Ian and Zeth St Clair and great-grandfather to Rory St Clair. He is also survived by his brother Martin Schumann and wife Pat, Curtis Schumann and wife Wendy, his sister Karen Schumann, sister-in-law Patricia Hamilton and dedicated friend of the family Kris McMullen.
Ronald was born on February 17, 1941 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and grew up in the Oakland area. He worked for 38 years before retiring from H. J. Heinz Company. He was also a souvenir vendor at both Forbes Field and Three Rivers Stadium. He was a member of the United States Army and Pennsylvania National Guard. Ronald loved his hometown sports teams the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins.
