Stanley Masaru Nakano “CHAMP”, age 92, Born in Pahala, Hawaii - Formerly from Honolulu, Hawaii on

the island of Oahu. He then Moved to Goodyear, Arizona to be with his Daughters and family.

Buddhist practitioner and Pioneer member of the Soka Gakkai International.

Stanley, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022. He was born March 9, 1930 in Pahala, Hawaii (Ka’u) to

Shikahachi and Tsune Nakano. And preceded by siblings - Tadashi, Tomoe, Shigan, Harry, Dorothy,

Margaret, Peggy and Paul.

Stanley is survived by - Children(s)

Tyrone (Feling), Dena (Donna), Glenda ( Darren) William (Neysa)

Grandchildren(s)

Gordon (Tiana) Someyr, Grant, Kapua, Dane, Tanner, Tiyare, Kimo, and Zachary

Great Grandson - Kade Kaimana

Retired Painter with Sawai and Son’s Painting Company, Employed at Bernice Pauahi Bishop Schools - Kamehameha Schools (Facility Maintenance), and then ventured out with his own contract jobs.

His fondest childhood memories were of playing in the reservoir with his hunting dogs. pig, deer hunting

and fishing. His earliest ambitions were to go to Oahu to work and make money. He was a hard working

Industrial Contractural interior/exterior Professional Painter, always on the go and dedicated to getting

the job done, which earned him the nickname, “CHAMP”. He eventually accomplished the goal of

owning his own company truck for his business and the ability to do his own side jobs and commissioned by Pearl Ridge Shopping Mall, Wet & Wild theme Waterpark and various luxury homes. On his days off he

would often assist his brother Paul with his towing company - Nakano’s Towing.

Stanley’s favorite pastime was going to Vegas twice a year or more to play on the crap table and the slot machines. He loved visiting his family in Arizona every year. All of Stanley’s grandchildren brought a smile to his face. His proudest family moment was the day his first grandson was born Gordon Masaru

for her unwavering care and guidance throughout the years. Much Mahalo to Donna, Theresa and Zachary for their caring hands and support.

To his cherished family, he left these thoughts and love:
