Born on February 10, 1950, in Kansas City, Kansas, Teresa was the daughter of Beverly Wright and Emmet "Joe" Wright. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Timothy Wright and Theodore Wright.
Teresa was, above all else, a woman who loved deeply. Family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved. Whether gathering around a table sharing stories, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying each other's company, Teresa treasured every moment she spent with family and friends. Her love was unwavering, her heart was generous, and her presence made people feel welcomed, valued, and cared for.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Songer, and son-in-law, Shane Songer; her son, Brian Repp, and daughter-in-law, Lexi Tank; her brothers, Daniel Wright and Alexander Wright; and sisters-in-law, Lisa Wright and Amy Wright.
Teresa was a proud and devoted grandmother to Derek Repp, Sierra Songer, MaKayla Gressel (Carl Gressel), Zachariah Songer (Andrea Vargas), Alexzandria Repp, Malachi Repp, and Paisley Repp. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy: Lucas Gressel, Penelope Gressel, Nicholas Dapo, Matthew Dapo, and Michael Dapo.
In addition to her immediate family, Teresa leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and members of the Repp family, all whom she loved very much. She cherished her extended family and maintained close relationships with many throughout her life.
Teresa had a caring and compassionate spirit and spent much of her life helping others. She enjoyed a long career as a pharmacy technician, where she found fulfillment in serving and supporting people during times of need. Later in life, she continued that calling as a caregiver, providing comfort, companionship, and dignity to those entrusted to her care. Helping others was never just a job to Teresa—it was simply who she was.
She was known for her kindness, her sense of humor, and her ability to make people feel at ease. She enjoyed games of chance, good conversation, and the simple pleasures of life. Her family will remember her laughter, her resilience, her caring nature, and the countless ways she showed her love through both words and actions.
The loss of Teresa leaves a space in the hearts of those who loved her that can never truly be filled. Yet her family finds comfort in the memories she created, the lessons she taught, and the love she shared so freely. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives were touched by her compassion and generosity.
Teresa will be cremated on June 1, 2026. A small family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Though we mourn her passing, we celebrate a life well lived—a life marked by love, service, family, and kindness. Teresa will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
