Allan Valentine Barron

Allan passed away peacefully in the Peace Arch Hospital Hospice Ward after a lengthy & courageous battle with brain cancer. Allan was born in St. Joseph’s, Placentia Bay, NL. He is predeceased by his mother Christina (Jan. 27th, 2010), his father William Patrick (Oct. 26th, 2015), brother Joe (Mar. 20th, 2017), cousin Phonse (Feb. 23, 2008), and brother-in-law Derm (July 28th, 2009). He is survived by his loving wife Mary Margaret of 49 years and their 3 sons Glenn (Catherine), Keith (Heather), & Jamie (Tanya). Left with fond memories are grandchildren Dylan, Kyle, Taylor, Ashley, Josh & Quinn. Further mourned by siblings Loretta, Freeman (Rose), Marina (Jay Peck), Bill (Linda), Gerald (Peggy), Maggie (Derek Chivers), and Phyllis (Dave Hallinan). He will be sadly missed by his extended family including cousins, nieces, & nephews. We would like to express our gratitude to the staff of Peace Arch Hospital (Hospice Ward), White Rock South Surrey Hospice Society, Abbotsford Cancer Clinic, all the health care professionals who attended to Allan, and a special thank you to Dr. Parsons, Dr. Lee & Dr. Zulfqar. Resting at Fraser Heights Funeral Home (14835 Fraser Highway, Surrey, BC) with visitation on Monday August 14th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and Tuesday August 15th from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Funeral services taking place at Good Shepard Church (2250 150th Street, Surrey, BC) August 16th, 10:30 am. Reception to follow at same location. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Agency Abbotsford Center or White Rock South Surrey Hospice Society would be greatly appreciated.
