Barbara Rose Wyatt (née Anstice), 72, passed away peacefully at the Irene Thomas Hospice in Ladner, BC, on February 1, 2017. Barbara was born in Newport, Wales on June 20, 1944, to Bertie and Florence. Aged sixteen, Barbara met John Wyatt at an event for the families of Newport’s transportation workers. They married in 1964 and remained inseparable until her passing. Barbara, John, and their young daughter, Tracy, moved to Singapore in 1966 where John, as a Royal Marine, was posted, and where their son, Andrew, was born. The family returned to Wales in 1971, but Barbara never lost her love of travel, and visited many countries during her life. Barbara and John moved to South Surrey in 2005 to be close to their grandchildren, and continued their travels during retirement.
Barbara is remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend. She is also remembered for being an overachiever in planning vacations, spoiling her dogs, and household organization.
Barbara leaves behind John, her beloved husband of 52 years; her brother, Gordon and his wife, Adrienne; daughter Tracy and her husband, Gary; son, Andrew; grandchildren Kate, Hannah, and Joey; sister-in-law, Doreen; nieces and nephews, Cherie, Suzanne, Simon, Ian, Samantha, Stephen, Andrew, and David, and many cousins in Wales.
