Blake David Rowdon

Blake David Rowdon (Irvine) will be deeply missed by proud parents, Sean Rowdon and Ashley Irvine, his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Blake was born on August 21, 2019, and passed away on April 27, 2020, peacefully in the arms of his mother and father at BC Children’s Hospital. Blake enjoyed waking his dad up at 5:00 am to play, pulling on mom’s hair, splashing in the tub, and spending time in the living room playing with all his toys. Blake enjoyed going for walks to the duck pond, spending time at Semiahmoo Family Place, Stay and Play, and the Semiahmoo Library for baby time . Blake was only with us for 8 short months but made a huge impact on so many people. Blake will be remembered as an extremely happy baby with the loudest laugh and the biggest smile that would always light up the room.

Sean and Ashley would like to say a special thank you to everyone who has supported Blake , All the doctors and staff at George Street Family Practice, Dr. K. Ansah and staff at Paramount Pediatrics, and all of the doctors, nurses, Respiratory Therapists ,and Social workers at BC Children’s Hospital in the PICU, who worked tirelessly to make sure Blake was comfortable. A special thank you for Nurse Anna, Dr. Hosking, and all of the cardiologists and staff at the Children’s Heart Centre for the care they provided for Blake. Sean and Ashley are particularly grateful to Dr. S. Gandhi who never gave up, giving them the gift of 8 wonderful months with Blake, and giving them the opportunity to say goodbye to their beautiful boy.
