It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Branimir Gavrilovich, a beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
The day before Brana’s 50th birthday, he was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered an infection that required immediate treatment. Despite the team’s best efforts to control it, the infection ultimately proved too much for his body to handle.
Brana was a strong man, having had many battles to fight over the past few years with the business - navigating the hardships of running it through a pandemic, enduring the devastation of the Lahaina fires, and ultimately making the difficult decision to leave Maui, the place they loved, in search of a better future in Denver. Through all of it, Brana remained the pillar of his family, never wavering, never allowing hardship to dull his spirit. And just as things began to settle, as hope and excitement for the future returned to his eyes, he was taken from us far too soon.
Brana was a man of extraordinary passion. Music, film, comedy, and fashion weren’t just interests—they were extensions of who he was. He had a gift for sharing what he loved, sparking conversations that turned into deep friendships. He made you feel seen, understood, connected. If Brana shared a song or a film with you, it wasn’t just a recommendation—it was a piece of his heart.
But above all else, Brana loved his family. He was the BEST father—unwavering in his love, endlessly proud, always putting Mila and Anja before himself. He and Violeta were partners in every sense of the word, facing life’s joys and struggles together, building a home filled with love, laughter, and the aroma of his incredible cooking. Whether it was spicy chicken wings, perfectly aged steaks, or his legendary homemade pizzas, every meal was an act of love, a way of bringing people together, of making them feel at home.
Brana’s kindness and generosity knew no bounds. He lifted others up, mentoring those who worked with him, helping them build their own dreams with the same passion he poured into his own. He and his family opened their home without hesitation during the Maui wildfires, living out the spirit of aloha in its purest form. He was the friend you could always count on, the man who would show up, who would give without expecting anything in return. He was an absolute blessing to those lucky enough to have been a part of his life.
Brana gave so much to this world. He was a force of love, of strength, of kindness. And though he is no longer physically with us, his spirit lives on in the laughter of his daughters, and the countless lives he touched.
Thank you for your support, prayers, and for sharing in the celebration of Brana's remarkable life.
"And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make."
