Carole Ann Peacock passed away November 1st, 2022, at age 80 in Peace Arch Hospital, in White Rock. Although her death was unexpected, she went peacefully surrounded by family. Her spark for living and love for everyone carried her through life right to her final moments. Carole was a rare gem that brightened the lives of everyone who had the honour of knowing and loving her. She will be missed.
Carole was born January 20th, 1942, in Vancouver BC, to Stu and Kay Sinclair. Carole was the eldest of four children and is survived by her siblings Larry (Gale), Susan (Doug) and Don (Julie). She was a proud mother to two sons: Ken (Stacey) and Trevor (Dorota) Peacock; a loving grandmother to her five grandchildren Sarah, Katie, David, Anna and Oskar and great grandmother to Mason. Her family held a very special place in her heart and she loved spending time and sharing her zest for life with all of us.
Carole grew up in North Vancouver, graduated from Delbrook High School and studied to become a registered nurse at VGH. After years of practicing as a nurse, she went on to work in health and safety in progressively senior roles at Woodward’s, Peace Arch Hospital, and the Surrey School District. In her retirement years, she resided on Mayne Island where she had a large circle of friends and busy social life in the vibrant island community. She was well known for volunteering for the Health Centre, the Thrift Store, the Mayne Island Agricultural Society and the Church Fair. She was also an active member of the duplicate and social bridge clubs and with the Mayne Queens.
We take comfort in knowing she is resting easy and she will live on in our hearts as the sweet lady she has always been.
The Celebration of Life has been postponed and will be rescheduled in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mayne Island Health Centre #100-526 Felix Jack Road, Mayne Island BC V0N 2J2
