Claudine was born in Montreal, Quebec. She is survived by her mother, Claire Forrest, her older brother Sylvain Robert and younger brother Luke Robert.
Claudine attended school in Laval and at an early age showed a strong interest in spiritual things. She wondered why we suffer and die and when contacted in the door-to-door ministry her questions were revealed to have answers. She began studying the Bible in 1975 and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the summer of 1977 at the District Convention in Montreal at the age of 18.
Not wanting to keep these new-found Bible truths to herself she enrolled as a regular pioneer serving for 3 years, 2 of which she was assigned as a special pioneer in Ottawa. Thereafter, she continued sharing these truths for the rest of her life.
Despite decades of poor health, Claudine was a truly loving and caring individual and would often lend a hearing ear to her friends over a cup of green tea at Starbucks. She had numerous interests: a love for music and singing with friends, cooking, being known as a “most excellent cook” and fashion, being a talented seamstress
Claudine was also passionate about helping abused and disadvantaged animals, giving of her own resources for their care. Her own beloved cats, Ninette and Cabouche, were rescued to a life of ease with Claudine.
Herbal remedies was her chosen field of study, having very recently said, “This is my passion.” This was manifest in her extensive knowledge of these remedies and holistic dietary supplements. Her employers appreciated this expertise and she was able to share it on many occasions at work, with friends and others.
Claudine stands as a shining example of faithfulness to our Creator under trying circumstances. We are proud to have known this integrity keeper and look forward to God’s promise—“all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out…”
