Claus Duncan Weber slipped away peacefully at Surrey Memorial Hospital on December 16, 2022, from an extremely rare Cutaneous T Cell Lymphoma, which he had been battling with courage and dignity since his diagnosis in July/2018. Claus is survived by his wife of 32 years, Linda, and his 2 children, Stewart and Josephine. Claus was born at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver on June 23, 1965, he grew up in the lower Mainland, and spent part of his early adult years in Ontario, until he moved back to the west coast in 1986, eventually settling in Surrey with Linda in 1992. After working in a variety of jobs, Claus started his dream job in 2000 as a bus driver for Coast Mountain Bus Company, bus driving fulfilled 2 of Claus's passions, driving, and meeting and helping people, his passengers loved him. If Claus wasn't making people laugh and being the life of the party, he was in the kitchen or on his smoker or barbecue grill preparing gourmet meals for his family and friends, he was enjoying listening to music, classic 80's and some eclectic choices, he was paddling on a dragon boat team, first with Eye of the Dragon and then later with Ex-Sighted, or he was peddling with Linda on their tandem bike during the COVID lock downs. Claus's vacation of choice was cruising, besides several shorter voyages with his family, Claus and Linda were able to take their trip of a lifetime in 2017, an 18 night cruise to Hawaii. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can be made to the Surrey Hospital Foundation…Claus received outstanding care and he and our family were treated with compassion, kindness, and respect during Claus's two hospital stays in the Palliative Care Ward at Surrey Memorial Hospital.
