He was the eldest son of the late Ivy and Fred Bradley. Colin is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia Bradley, daughters Dana (Laurin) and Mandy (Felix) and grandchildren Ashley (Mike), Michael, Zoe and Samantha. Brothers Tony and Maurice, Sister Gillian, Cousin David, many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends in Canada, England and Australia, whom he loved dearly.
Our dad bravely immigrated to Canada from London with his young family in search of a better life. In both his personal and business life, he was extremely successful and accomplished. Colin loved to fish, golf, travel, read, enjoy a good night out and a great holiday. His family was everything to him and he was a best friend to his sons-in-law Felix and Laurin.
Colin lived his life with high energy and a young spirit. He would marvel at things like the architecture of a building, the calmness of the water on the lake, and a good song.
Colin entered into the family autobody business in England as a young man, eventually owning his own successful shop in Canada. He loved his work and his family was so proud of him. Colin was very involved with his daughter’s lives and enjoyed coaching their sports teams for many years – The Whalley Celtics Soccer Team and the Bradley Collision Softball Team (although he had never played a softball game in his life, he was good with the rule book). Colin was larger than life and was known to all as a true gentleman,
Our dad was not ready to go and fought to stay with us with such courage and hope, reminding us how precious life is. He died peacefully holding our hands and surrounded by his loving family. We love you so much dad and miss you every day.
We will celebrate our dad’s life on May 19, 2016 at Hazelemere Golf Course (12:30pm-3:00pm). In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in our dad’s honour to the Delta Hospice Society www.deltahospice.org. We cannot thank the staff at Irene Thomas Hospice enough.
