

Colleen Alexis Scomazzon passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on October 19, 1945, in Surrey, British Columbia, Colleen was beloved and cherished by those who knew her, remembered for her gentle, kind-hearted nature and wise presence. A hard-working and resilient woman, she lived with selfless devotion to her family and approached life with thoughtful care and quiet strength.
Colleen (maiden name Kidd) built a life rooted in love and loyalty. She was predeceased by her husband, Pete, who passed away in 2008. Colleen was an inspirational and steady presence to her family, and she will be deeply missed by her two sons, Gino and Carlo; her daughter, Angela; and her granddaughter, Tsarina. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Sharon, Cleo, and Lindy; her nephew, Dean; her niece, Carla; and her brother-in-law, Elio. Colleen’s family circle also includes Savanna and their daughters, Sandra, Diana, and Christina.
In her everyday life, Colleen found joy in simple pleasures—shopping for bargains, being around animals, and reading magazines. These interests reflected her warm spirit and her appreciation for the comfort and companionship found in life’s quieter moments.
Colleen was a resident of Burnaby, British Columbia.
A visitation will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services, Fraser Heights Chapel, 14835 Fraser Highway, Surrey, BC, V3R3N6, Canada, on March 20, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
A graveside service will be held at Sunnyside Lawn Cemetery, 14850 28 Ave, Surrey, BC, V4P 1P3, Canada, on March 20, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
