Dolores (“Doris”) C. Bernardino Natividad was born in Manila, Philippines to Miguel San Juan Bernardino and Dorotea Copico Bernardino on November 23, 1931. She graduated from Centro Escolar University as Doctor of Dental Medicine.She married Felicisimo Trinidad Natividad on January 2,1960 at the Church of Christ in Manila, Philippines. She worked as a dentist in a business partnership until 1968 when the family moved to Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan where her husband had been hired as a high school teacher in 1967. She raised their two children, Elizabeth and Rhoda. Doris enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and singing while her husband accompanied her on the piano.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Felicisimo Natividad; sister, Helen Manalo; and brothers Exequiel, Vevencio, Jaime, and Benjamin Bernardino.
Doris is survived by her children, Elizabeth Goddard and Rhoda Johnston; their respective spouses David Goddard and Norman Johnston; sister, Norma Liwag; grandchildren Michelle (and husband Michael Jackson), Mikel, Matthew and Naya; and great grandchildren Damian and Chester.
