It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Taylor, age 68, on February 7th, 2025. Donna was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend, who was comforted by family in her final days.
A lifelong Richmond, BC resident, Donna was born on June 13th, 1956 to parents Kenneth Stewart and Pat Stewart. She grew up on Bird Road with her siblings Janet and Kenny and was part of the graduating class of 1974 from Richmond Secondary School.
Donna had an impressive 40-year career across CP Air, Canadian Airlines, and Air Canada at YVR. Once described as ‘keeping this place running,’ she was known for getting things done!
The airlines held a special place in Donna’s heart, as that is where she met Gord. In December 1991, they welcomed daughter Ali to the world, and they later married in April 1992.
In her retirement, Donna was full of energy and always up to something. Whether it be volunteering with the Richmond Auxiliary Thrift Shop or taking piano lessons. Donna loved going for walks in Steveston with husband Gord and taking shopping trips or having wine nights with sister Janet and lifelong friends Laurie & Laureen.
An amazing mom to her daughter Ali, she always attended her hockey games and gave unconditional love and advice throughout the years.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Gordon Taylor; her daughter, Ali Taylor; her step son, Chris Taylor; her brother, Kenny Stewart; and her sister, Janet Spires. She also leaves behind many dear friends and extended family members who will cherish her memory always.
A Celebration of Life for close friends and family will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made towards Lung Cancer Research through the BC Cancer Foundation.
