The family of Dora Larsen are deeply saddened to announce her passing on August 25, 2023 at the age of 98. Dora was born in Rostrup, Denmark on November 13, 1924 and passed away peacefully on August 25, 2023 with family by her side. She is predeceased by her husband, Svend, in April, 2011. Dora is survived and will be greatly missed by her daughter Inge (Dave), sons Hans (Cathie), Peter, and Steven (Neena), 3 cherished grandchildren Lena (Jason) Spicer, Nicola Rumsch, Devan Pawa-Larsen and step-grandson, Dylan Spicer, extended family in BC, Denmark and USA plus many good friends. Dora was a founding member and very active participant at “Granly” Danish Church for over 60 years, receiving comfort in her faith and enjoying many good times with her friends there. Mom will be remembered for her faith in God, her kindness, quiet strength, love of a good gathering, delicious baking, and home-made marzipan chocolates.
A memorial service will be held at White Rock Lutheran Church, in the St. John's Worship Centre at 1480 George St. White Rock on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, Mom has asked that donations be made to the Terry Fox Foundation OR Families for Children (www.familiesforchildren.ca)
