Douglas James Arnott

He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Ellen Arnott and first wife Patricia (McKenzie).

Survived by his loving wife Marilyn, sister Jeannie Pecknold; nieces Kristen Gardiner and Brett Delacey, nephew Rand Pecknold (Nikki); stepdaughters Jamie and Melissa Clark, grandchildren Logan and Breanna; great grandnieces and nephews, Cassie, Roy, Avery, Ben, J.T., Tate, CeCe, Georgia and Rex. Doug also leaves behind brother-in-law Ken McKenzie and many, many lifelong friends and family.

Doug grew up in East Vancouver and graduated from Britannia High School class of 1957. He played many sports, won many medals, along with coaching youth soccer. Doug enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Cultus Lake. He loved swimming, golfing and making people laugh. He had a big heart and loved his family more than anything. He will be missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peace Arch Hospital and Community Health Foundation. A Celebration of Doug’s life will be held on November 14, 2017, at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 28th Avenue, Surrey, B.C. at 1:00 pm.
