Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, BC. Born in Selkirk, Manitoba, Doug moved to North Delta in the 1970s, where he dedicated many years of his life to BC Tel, working with unwavering commitment and passion until his retirement.
Doug is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; his two sons, Jason (Emily) of Delta, BC, and Wayne; and his cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Gary (Eileen).
Doug was predeceased by his brothers Fred, Harold, and Richard, as well as his parents, Frederick and Eleanor Flett, all his uncles and aunts, and a few cousins.
Doug had a passion for golfing, vacations, and socializing with friends.
He also dedicated numerous years to volunteering with North Delta Minor Hockey (NDMH) and North Delta Baseball Association (NDBA).
Doug’s legacy of love, dedication, and kindness will be remembered by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
