Elsie Muriel Richards

It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce that our beloved Mom, Grandma & Great-Grandma Elsie Muriel Richards suddenly passed away the morning of Oct. 10, 2024. Mom was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, & passed away in Port Coquitlam B. C.

Mom had dealt with a series of health issues the past 5 years or so, but handled all this with the best grace she could. Advanced Dementia eventually robbed our Mom of the vibrant Lady she was. Mom had been active most of her life bowling & golfing twice weekly especially after our Dad's passing in Aug. of 2006. Her activities kept her busy. Ultimately it was vision loss, then the dementia that caused Mom to stop the activities she so enjoyed.

To both Mom & our Dad family was everything & we all felt that love. We have to trust now that Mom is in God's hands, is at peace, & hopefully is reuniting with the love of her life Husband Vere Henry Richards, & her only son Stephen Vere Richards who predeceased her in Aug. 1995.

Mom is survived by her Daughter Marian Gail Cadwallader (Derek Cadwallader, & their children Alanna Cadwallader & Curtis Cadwallader), & Daughter Linda Marie Strohan (Richard Strohan, & their sons Douglas Strohan & Darryl Strohan), & also by Great-Granddaughter Evelyn Cadwallader.

Many thanks to all the Dr.'s, & Caregivers, especially to the Caregivers from Home Instead Senior Care in White Rock who helped care for Mom for about 5 years, for the compassionate care given to Mom along the way.

Rest in Peace Mom, we love you, & you will always be in our hearts & souls.
